Circle Up Shuttles is a family-owned and operated school transportation
company that serves our community with safe, welcoming, and reliable
service. We specialize in transporting students to and from school.
School districts continue to face transportation challenges due to driver
shortages and increased demand for student transportation services. As a
result, many districts have students who live outside of traditional school
boundaries or existing bus routes, yet still need reliable transportation to
access their education.
The goal of Circle Up Shuttles is to partner with school districts to help
meet these transportation needs by providing safe, dependable, and
flexible transportation solutions for students. Our mission is to remove
transportation barriers so students can focus on their education.

Getting On and Off Safely
When the school vehicle arrives, your child should wait until the vehicle comes to a
complete stop, the door opens, and the driver says it’s okay to get on or off. Your child
should use the handrails to avoid falling.
Always Use Caution Around the vehicle
Your child should never walk behind a school vehicle . If your child must cross the street in front
of the vehicle, tell them to walk on a sidewalk or along the side of the street to a place at least ten
feet — five giant steps — in front of the vehicle before crossing. Your child should also make
eye contact with the vehicle driver before crossing to make sure the driver can see that they’re
crossing to avoid the danger zone. If your child drops something near the school vehicle, like a
phone or book, the safest thing is for your child to tell the bus driver right away. Your child
should not try to pick up the item, because the driver might not be able to see them.
Safety for Middle and High School Children:
•
Ensure that middle school and high children are aware of the locations of all
emergency exits on the vehicle and how to use these exits during a crisis.
•
Encourage children to report any bullying, unsafe behavior, or concerns to you, the vehicle
driver or school authorities.

When: Approaching a school vehicles, drivers must always slow down when yellow lights
flash. Once the bus stops, its red lights flash, and the stop arm extends, vehicles in all
directions must stop at least 20 feet away, except on physically divided highways, and wait
until the arm retracts.
Q: Can I open the car door whenever I want?
A: No. Wait for an adult to open the door and make sure it's safe from passing vehicle.
Q: Where is the safest place to sit in the vehicle?
A: Always in the back seat! Kids under 13 should ride buckled up in the back.
Q: How do a student cross the street in front of the vehicle?
A: Walk 10 steps in front of the vehicle, make eye contact with the driver, and wait for their signal.
Q: How close can I stand to the vehicle?
A: Stand at least 10 feet away (that’s 5 giant steps!) so the driver can see you.
Setting the Gold Standard for Safe Student Transportation
Ensuring the safety of students during their journey to and from school is often
overshadowed by what is happening in the classroom, however, it is a critical
component of the education system.
